Abhishek Bansal is a Director with Actis where he is responsible for originating and managing energy investments in Asia. He has close to 15 years of investing experience in energy and infrastructure sectors in growth markets. Abhishek was instrumental in setting up Ostro Energy which Actis� first renewable platform in the Indian market and was responsible for managing the investment until exit. He is currently managing Actis� Sprng investment in India and serves as its board member. Prior to joining Actis, Abhishek worked with the International Finance Corporation in India where he focused on equity, project finance and corporate debt transactions in diverse sectors with a focus on power sector.

Managing Director, Head of Power and Renewables Bruce is responsible for our Power & Renewables investments, and was previously Managing Director, Head of Americas for Infrastructure. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2007, Bruce led the private markets infrastructure team at OPTrust. Before that, he spent several years with Macquarie Bank in London and Toronto in corporate finance. He has also worked in investment banking at RBC Dominion Securities. Bruce holds a BComm from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto.

Charlie Donovan is Executive Director of the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School and Academic Director of the MSc Climate Change, Management and Finance. He is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Finance. In his corporate career, Charlie was most recently Head of Structuring and Valuation for Global Power at BP plc. He was part of the strategy team that launched BP Alternative Energy with an $8 billion funding commitment. Charlie began his career as an Energy Policy Analyst with the US Environmental Protection Agency during the Clinton Administration. Professor Donovan holds a bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, graduated from the MBA program at Vanderbilt University, and completed a Doctorate in Management at IE Business School. He is the editor and co-author of Renewable Energy Finance: Powering the Future, now in its 2nd edition.

Shri Pradip Kumar Das, is the Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA since 06.05.2020. Mr. Das is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He also holds Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Prior to joining the Company, he was Director (Finance) in India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC). Mr. Das has also worked with REC Ltd. (Rural Electrification Corporation), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Nuclear Power Corporation Ltd. (NPCL), Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Ltd. (BHPV), Kusum Products Ltd. and other organizations. In his career span of over 32 years he has vast experience in various positions in Finance, Banking, Accounts, Audit, etc. both in public as well as private sectors. Mr. Das has always leveraged technology and introduced various innovative financing schemes that reflects the unique relationship with each of the customers. With his focus on innovation, he has actively participated in the digitization process of the company including online offerings to the customers, enabling them to bank when, where, and how they want.

Dr. Priyantha D C Wijayatunga holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Sri Lanka and a PhD in Power Economics from Imperial College London where he was a Beit Scientific Research Fellow. He joined the Asian Development Bank in 2008 and currently the Director, South Asia Energy Division. He has contributed extensively in energy sector policy and regulatory activities over 25 years and has co-authored over 75 publications. He was the founder Director General of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka and was a lead author of the Sri Lanka Energy Policies and Strategies and the Sri Lanka Initial National Communication on Climate Change. He served as a Senior Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Chairman of South Asia Forum for Infrastructure Regulation. He is a Member of Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), London, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. He is also a Senior Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

Sean Kidney is CEO of the Climate Bonds Initiative, an international NGO, working to mobilize global capital for climate action. Projects include a green bond definitions and certification scheme with $34 trillion of assets represented on its Board; working with the Chinese central bank on how to grow green bonds in China; market development programs in Brazil, Mexico, ASEAN and Africa; and market tracking services for the green bonds industry. He is a member of the European Commission's Platform on Sustainable Finance, and was a member of its predecessors, the 2017 EU High Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance and the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. He is also a member of green finance committees in China, India, Mexico and Khazakhstan. Sean is also a Professor in Practice at SOAS University of London.

Mr. Stolp currently leads the World Bank’s $5 billion energy sector engagement in India, which is growing rapidly and providing significant financing and technical support for India’s renewable energy development, and to investments aimed at turning around India’s financially stressed distribution sector. The World Bank has already committed over $1 Billion in financing to India’s solar PV development, signed a joint declaration in support of the Indian led International Solar Alliance, and is preparing a pipeline of over $2 Billion in energy storage, and further renewable energy investments. Prior to this he led the Bank’s energy sector engagement in the Middle East and North Africa region, managing energy policy and strategy dialogue and a portfolio of loan and technical assistance projects to the energy sector. Mr. Stolp joined the World Bank as its Country Manager in Iraq, and managed the Bank’s engagement with the Government of Iraq during a period of intense political upheaval, advising on critical decisions about Iraq’s future economic development, and national energy strategy. Mr. Stolp’s earlier career involved public and private development of renewable energy infrastructure throughout Australia and SE Asia with Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest renewable energy supplier. Mr. Stolp has also consulted to government, international development agencies, private developers and financiers in the international energy sector. Through these roles Simon has led the planning, financing and development of over $20 Billion of infrastructure assets.

Sridhar Rengan Managing Director - Finance Sridhar Rengan is a Managing Director in Brookfield�s Finance team. In this role, he is responsible for finance, public and regulatory affairs in India. Sridhar Rengan joined Brookfield in 2014 and has held various positions within the Company and its affiliates. Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. Rengan has held various senior level positions over the last three decades in infrastructure, real estate, and consumer businesses. He is a Commerce graduate from the University of Calcutta and has completed his post-graduate in Law from the same University. He is also a Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a Member of the the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Former Vice President Al Gore describes the book as �a compelling roadmap to a better, cleaner future for India�and other developing regions of the world�. Sumant is a member of the Stewardship Board on Shaping the Future of Energy at the World Economic Forum and serves as the Chair of the Climate Group�s India Advisory Board. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), and chairs CII�s Renewable Energy Council. Sumant is a member of the Advisory Committee of the India Climate Collaborative- a platform promoting policy advocacy and thought leadership on climate change. He is on the Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta, IIM Sirmaur, IIT Delhi and Columbia University�s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). For his achievements in entrepreneurship and clean energy, Sumant has won several awards including �Chairman Of The Year� at the Stevie International Business Awards 2020, The Entrepreneur India�s Entrepreneur of the Year award, 2019, the coveted �Economic Times Entrepreneur of the Year Award� 2018, �EY Entrepreneur of the Year�, 2017� and �Outstanding Start-up of the Year�- Forbes India Leadership Awards 2017 for ReNew Power. After starting his career in the Tata Administrative Service, Sumant worked as an investment banker with Citicorp and ING Barings in the US and UK, before heading finance in one of India�s largest conglomerates, the Aditya Birla Group. He was also COO of Suzlon, India�s largest wind turbine company. Sumant has a Master�s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, a degree in business management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and also a B. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
